When our children were young, we often prayed the Stations of the Cross together at home during Lent. But the little pocket prayer book we used had one frustrating limitation: its illustrations were far too small for everyone to see! How I wished for a book with large, beautiful pictures that the whole family could gather around...
This book is the fulfillment of that wish. Fourteen gorgeous, full-color reproductions of the Stations of the Cross by renowned Catholic artist Charles Bosseron Chambers (whose original paintings adorn St. Ignatius Church in Rogers Park, Chicago) invite the whole family to contemplate Our Lord's Passion. Paired with the traditional prayers and meditations of St. Alphonsus de Liguori, they bring together the beauty of sacred art and the riches of a beloved Catholic devotion in a generous hardcover format.
Whether during Lent or throughout the year, this book offers a beautiful way for families to accompany Our Lord on the Way of the Cross.
