Please note: The Little Children's Prayer Book was originally published in 1911, and we have preserved Mother Loyola's text, rather than adapting it to subsequent liturgical changes. Thus, the portions dealing with the Mass correspond most closely to the Traditional Latin Mass, and the illustrations depict the priest celebrating ad orientem. Mother Loyola does not, however, simply reproduce the prayers of the Missal; much of her instruction explains the meaning of the Mass and gives children their own prayers and meditations for its various parts. Consequently, this book can be used just as fruitfully by children attending the Ordinary Form.
