Jesus Comes is the Second Grade textbook in the Our Holy Faith series, based on the First Communion Catechism, Confraternity Edition.
This is the Student Textbook for the Second Grade.
Beginning with God's loving care for His children, Jesus Comes leads young students through the importance of obedience, the Commandments, the need for forgiveness, and the Sacraments of Penance and the Holy Eucharist.
Clear, age-appropriate explanations and traditional catechism questions and answers are accompanied by beautiful full-color illustrations that help children understand and remember the truths they are learning. Prayers throughout the book encourage them to respond to God's goodness with love and gratitude.
The lessons build upon one another, preparing children not only to understand the Sacraments they are about to receive, but to approach First Confession with sincere contrition and First Holy Communion with reverence and love.
Part of the Our Holy Faith series of traditional Catholic religion textbooks, originally produced in the late 1950s, Jesus Comes is available in economical softcover and durable hardcover editions.
