On Canal Street in New Orleans, “Professor Thomas” finds a young boy in desperate need of help—and in lending that help embarks upon an unexpected adventure that will carry them far from home and into danger in South America.
Young Jose Maria has powerful enemies, and getting him safely home will require courage, cleverness, sacrifice, and more than a little trust in Divine Providence. As danger follows close behind, the mysterious Professor proves himself willing to risk everything for the boy entrusted to his care.
Will the forces of evil prevail against young Jose Maria? And who is this unlikely hero who spares nothing to get him safely home?
Full of peril, humor, narrow escapes, and an unmistakably Catholic spirit, Father Finn's adventure is also a spirited tribute to the courage and devotion of the sons of St. Ignatius.
